Join our tennis club in Barcelona

Like most of the tennis clubs in Barcelona our tennis club is private and members-only so if you are an avid tennis player you should consider joining. At our tennis club we offer two types of membership options: short-term called "Abonado" and long-term called "Socio". They both allow you to have access to our facilities located in the heart of Barcelona.

Once you have become a member (Socio or Abonado) of our tennis club you will be able to:

• have full access to our clay tennis courts at any time and day
• arrange friendly tennis matches or practice with other club members
• play club's social leagues, inter-club leagues and tournaments
• take private and group tennis lessons at a cheaper price
• invite your friends to come over and play tennis with you

Our tennis club is located in a beautiful neighborhood, surrounded by the university campus and next to the world-renowned Football Club Barcelona. It features an area of 22,000 m2 including 15 clay tennis courts, 13 padel tennis courts, 2 multi-sport outdoor courts, an indoor basketball court and fronton, an artificial grass football field, a skating and hockey ring, a 3-storey fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool with solarium, a restaurant, coffee-shop, 2 terraces, kids playground, gardens and private parking.

Our 15 tennis courts are made of real red clay. They receive regular care and treatments such as watering, flattening, clay renewal, line and net maintenance, etc. All courts have had latest generation LED floodlight recently installed, therefore they can be used until late evening hours. There is a drinking water dispenser on every court.

In order to play on our courts you will need to wear tennis shoes that have a special sole for clay courts (CC). There is no additional dress code except that you must not play without a t-shirt on.

Our tennis courts are outdoors meaning that their use depends on the weather. There is only about 30 rainy days in a year in Barcelona, meaning between 2 and 3 days per month on average. On a rainy day the courts would remain closed and it would not be possible to play or train. However, on a day with a bit of drizzle it is usually fine to play as the courts have fairly good drainage and absorption system.

In case of other adverse weather conditions such as extreme winds the club will make an announcement whether the courts are open or closed. Nevertheless, most days in Barcelona are sunny and windless.

In our outdoor premises our members will find a 25-meter adults swimming pool and a small pool for children as well as a natural grass solarium with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The swimming pool is open in summer from end of May to beginning of October.

Our 3-story fitness center includes: fully equipped gym, stretching room, room for group fitness classes such as body pump, yoga, zumba or pilates, room for spinning and aerobic workouts.

At the club there is plenty of areas to chill out, have a drink or snack. We have two outdoor terraces with tables, chairs and sofas. The outdoor terrace is open all year round. There is also an indoor high-end restaurant serving Mediterranean food for lunch.

Both women's and men's changing rooms and showers have been recently renovated and equipped with sauna and lockers.

You are welcome to use secure WiFi at the club for free.

There are two options of becoming a member of our tennis club. One is to become a club member shareholder which is called "socio" and the second option is to become a tennis member called "abonado". The shareholder option is more suitable for long-term commitment such as a minimum of 2 years whereas the abonado option is considered short-term although you can be an abonado for as long as you want.

SOCIO - a member who owns a club's share

As a socio you will have access to tennis courts, padel courts and a swimming pool at any time. Additionally, you can gain access to the gym and fitness activities such as body step, spinning, yoga, and dance.

A member socio is a shareholder which means they own a share of the club which costs 480 EUR and it is a one time payment. It can be paid as a lump sum or in interest-free monthly installments during up to 3 years. It can also be acquired from another member who is selling their share and usually in this way it can be purchased at a reduced price. Every so often we know of someone who is willing to sell their share so we can help you obtain it in such a way. Naturally you are free to sell your share once you do not need it.

A share gives you the right to take part in General Assembly meetings and vote on club's current projects.

Tax deduction

As socio you will be able to deduct 20% of your payments to the club in your annual tax declaration in Spain.

Free invitations

As an adult member you get 12 free invitations per year so you can invite someone who is not a member to play with you at the club, use parking, showers, etc. Kids get 6 free invitations. You can also invite someone after you have used up your free invitations for 11,20 EUR. The invitations are valid on working days from 8 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm, as well as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 3 pm.

* Every time you use the courts during the day you will pay Day Canon which is a per person fixed fee regardless of the amount of time you stay on court so you can play for 1 or 2 hours and still pay the same amount. 

** When you use the courts in the evening with floodlights switched on, you will pay Night Canon which is divided by the number of people on court (2 in singles play and 4 in doubles play) and it is paid pro rata for the time you spend on court. It is added every 15 minutes. For example, if you are 4 players using court number 1 for 90 minutes the whole Night Canon is 9,675 EUR therefore each player will pay 2,42 EUR. When you pay Night Canon you do not pay Day Canon.

SOCIO FAMILY - for family with children

The family membership option is the right choice for families with 2 parents and children up to 21 years old. It is a flat rate that gives the right to use all club's sports services, including the gym and fitness group activities, for each family member.

As all the family members will become shareholders they should all purchase the club's share (480 EUR). The fee that applies to each adult is 101,75 EUR per month.

ABONADO - a member who only plays tennis

An Abonado can access tennis courts at any time and day of the week to play with other club's members. The access to padel courts and swimming pool is not included. Additionally, they can gain access to the gym and fitness activities such as body step, spinning, yoga, and dance.

As an abonado you will not have to purchase a club's share; therefore, you will not have the right to vote at a General Assembly or have a guaranteed lifetime access to the club.

No free invitations

An abonado does not receive any free invitations for guests. However, they can still invite their friends to play for a 13 EUR fee. The invitations are valid on working days from 8 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm, as well as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 3 pm.

Our members can do private and semi-private tennis lessons at reduced rates.

We kindly ask all players to cancel their tennis lesson with 24 hour notice. Late cancellations and no shows are fully charged.

The club reserves the right to cancel the class due to adverse weather conditions such as rain or strong wind. In that case, we will do our best to re-schedule your lesson at the earliest date.
